Celebrating its 270th anniversary this year, Vacheron Constantin, the renowned high-end watchmaker, has released two new Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin models featuring new colored dials. These sensational variations include a model with a matching case and dial color, as well as a model with a burgundy dial for the first time in the collection.
It is presented in two materials, pink gold and white gold, and the case diameter is 41.5mm and the thickness is 8.1mm, which are the same size as the previous products. Even the integrated bracelet uses the same material as the case, and the pink gold version has a dial with a gold-tone translucent lacquer applied to an 18K pink gold plate and a satin finish, while the white gold version has a deep burgundy color lacquer close to purple applied and a satin finish.

The combination of a burgundy dial and a white gold case is particularly striking, exceeding expectations, and exudes a uniquely youthful sensibility. This color combination for a high complication is rare even among other brands, making it an intriguing experiment. Perhaps it’s a combination that’s possible for the Overseas collection, which champions sporty, casual chic. Depending on the case, the hour markers (indexes) and hands, made of pink or white gold, are coated with Super-LumiNova, which glows blue in the dark.
The movement is the in-house automatic perpetual calendar caliber 1120 QP/1, which is extremely thin compared to its function at 4.05mm (frequency 2.75Hz, power reserve of about 40 hours). It is a famous watch that has been installed in the perpetual calendar product line, which is the flagship of the third-generation Overseas collection that debuted in 2016. In 2020, the skeleton version 1120 QPSQ/1 and the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin Skeleton equipped with it were added to the collection, and it won the Calendar and Astronomy Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG 2020).
As always, it has received the Poinçon de Genève, the Hallmark of Geneva certification, which certifies that it is a high-end watch movement made in Geneva. Through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, you can admire the movement that is meticulously finished to the highest level in the industry, such as the 22K gold rotor shaped like a wind rose, which symbolizes the Overseas line’s characteristic spirit of travel and exploration, as well as Côtes de Genève, circular graining (perlage), chamfering (anglage), and mirror polishing. Of course, as it is a perpetual calendar movement, it is programmed to automatically calculate the last day of each month, moon phase, and leap year as long as the replica watches is in normal operation until February 2100, so there is no need for separate adjustment.
Like its predecessors, it features a unique interchangeable system that allows for easy, tool-free replacement of different straps. In addition to the basic gold bracelet, the included dark blue rubber and white rubber (pink gold version), and burgundy rubber and white rubber (white gold version) also feature a buckle in the shape of the Maison’s iconic half Maltese cross, made of pink or white gold, which is easy to put on and take off, allowing for the fun of strap adjustment. This is another unique charm of the Overseas collection and one of the elements that will appeal to younger watch enthusiasts.

Armed with new colored dials, the new Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin is available as a regular model, not a limited edition, in both the pink gold case and pink gold dial version (Ref. 4300V/220R-H144) and the white gold case and burgundy-colored dial version (Ref. 4300V/220G-H151). However, due to the nature of high-complication models, the production volume is limited and, like a boutique edition, it is only available at selected replica Vacheron Constantin boutiques worldwide. The retail price has not been disclosed, however.
